Saint Stephen Lutheran Church came into
being in September of 1965. A community of Lutherans endeavored to
build a church structure and to bring together a congregation of
faithful believers in Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe
people should be a part of a community of faith where they live, in
which they are continually confronted with the love of God and His
claim upon their lives. We believe people should have active
involvement in the worship and work of the church in which they are
members, so that each person grows in their faith and discipleship. We
offer you a church that is small enough to know who you are and to care
about you. We offer you a church that needs you talents and abilities
as God calls you to share them. We offer you a church where we feel
encouraging, challenging, humbling, redemptive love of God, in the name
and person of His Son, our Lord. We hope you will want to be a part of
this fellowship of faith in Christ Jesus. Lutherans profess a faith in
the sacrament of Baptism and Holy Communion. we believe that by God's
Grace we are forgiven and freed from our sins through the birth, death
and resurrection of His son, Jesus Christ. All Baptized visitors are
invited to the sacrament of Holy Communion while visiting our Church.
If you live in the Shreveport area and do not have a church home, we
invite you to become a member of the worshiping community of Saint
Stephen Lutheran Church. If you desire to become a member of Saint
Stephen, please contact our Pastor or a member of this Congregation for
further information on becoming a member.
